Always...choose a specialist who will personally process your gown, never one who sends your gown away to be cleaned.
Always...avoid storing your gown in the attic or basement where there are extreme changes in temperature or humidity.
Always...ask what precautions the specialist takes to protect delicate trims and decorations and how the cleaner guards against latent stains.
Always...use white cotton gloves to handle your gown following cleaning and preservation. We supply them to you for your convenience.
Always...ask to inspect your gown personally before it is put into the container, which should be a pH neutral or acid-free box lined with muslim or acid-free tissue.
Never...rub your dress if a stain occurs. Always blott at a stain or use a white powder to conceal the stain.
Never...use blue tissue paper, it will turn brown where ever it touches your gown and this means it is releasing acidic gasses and “burning” your gown.
